Mayor's Budget Speech 

Ipswich - a city built on pride

Over the past few years our city has been home to many success stories.  The main foundation of this success has been the pride we have generated both within and outside the city.

We have focussed on job generation, masterplanned communities, heritage and education, while at the same time providing efficient services for residents.

Ipswich is a city where people matter.

Budget 2009-2010 will continue to keep people as the central point of our decision-making, and at the same time ensure Ipswich is moving forward on the path of sustainable growth.

• Continuing to build on the strength and solid foundation previous budgets.
