Ipswich City CouncilDivision 4 - Councillor Trevor NardiPersonalHe is one of Ipswich's most prominent businessmen and an avid community worker. Since purchasing his own business at the age of 21, Trevor saw Perfection Press grow from a one person printing business to be one Ipswich's largest printing and stationery supplier. Perfection Press was consistently listed amongst the State's top 20 stationery suppliers and employed 20 local people. Trevor resigned from his active position in Perfection Press when he was elected to represent his Division. In 2004 Trevor & Lynne sold the printing side of Perfection Press. For his entire adult life, Trevor has lived in the Ipswich area. He moved into his Bundamba home in 1980 with his family. He is married to Lynne and they have two children, Melina and Rebecca. Trevor, who was one of eight children, was born in Casino, New South Wales, on 27 February 1949, and moved to Queensland as a teenager. Being involved in numerous community groups has produced a strong community spirit within Trevor. He is a past member of the Rotary Club of Booval, and in 1996 was awarded Rotary's highest award for community service - a Paul Harris Fellowship. He is a member of the Bundamba Secondary College Board, the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia, the Australian Water Association and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is also a vice president of the Blackstone Welsh Soccer Club, patron of The Ipswich Genealogical Society, Ipswich Stamp Club, Classic Muscle Car Club. & Ipswich Knights Soccer Club. He supports many other groups including local schools, Ipswich Hospice and sporting organisations. Qualifications & ExperienceTrevor has been self employed since the age of 21 when he started the family business Perfection Press in 1971. In 2002 Trevor successfully completed the Australian Company Directors Course and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Special InterestsIn his spare time Trevor enjoys reading and painting. He is also a keen angler and experienced scuba diver and sailor. He also enjoys walking and is a keen supporter of the Just Walk It groups throughout Ipswich. He enjoys working around the home and also likes on occasions to renovate old furniture.
