Ipswich City CouncilDivision 5 - Councillor Heather Morrow
Heather has been a resident of Ipswich for 50 years and has lived at Barellan Point for the past 41 years. Her husband is a fifth generation member of the Hallett Family, who were original settlers of Barellan Point (Bremer Junction). Heather is actively involved with the community and is a past secretary of the local community association and various sporting clubs, and aims to work with the community to improve facilities and to restore pride in the City of Ipswich. Before the election, Heather and her husband, together with son Stevan, owned and operated a busy industrial takeaway for a number of years. Prior to that, the family owned and operated a successful seafood retail outlet in a major shopping centre. She previously worked as a Personal Assistant to the Managing Directors of various private enterprise businesses and was employed as Electorate Secretary for the late Evan Marginson MLA.
