Ipswich City CouncilDivision 6 - Councillor Cheryl Bromage
Cheryl was born in Ipswich in 1970. She was educated at Brassall State School and Ipswich State High School. Cheryl commenced her nursing training at Ipswich General Hospital in 1989, and remained at the hospital until 1997. While working at Ipswich Hospital, she undertook further studies to become an Anaesthetic Technician, a role that she enjoyed for 5 years. She was employed by a State Member of Parliament before being successfully elected as Division 6 Councillor for the City of Ipswich in 2004. Division 6 encompasses Brassall, Leichhardt, part of North Ipswich, part of Tivoli, part of Karrabin and part of Wulkuraka. Cheryl is an active member of the Ipswich City Rotary Club and is very involved with the Ipswich Hospital Foundation, which raises money for much needed equipment for the West Moreton region. Cheryl is also Chair of the City Infrastructure Comittee.
