Division 7 - Councillor Andrew Antoniolli - JP Qual

Personal

Andrew was born in Ipswich in 1971 and has lived in Ipswich his entire life.

He was educated at Ipswich North State School and Ipswich State High School (School Prefect 1988).

Andrew commenced working for the Queensland Police Service in 1989, and remained with the service until resigning after his success in the 2000 election as Division 7 Councillor for the City of Ipswich. During his career within the Queensland Police Service he was appointed to the position of Senior Constable - Officer in Charge, Redbank Police Beat and Acting Sergeant in Charge of the Ipswich District Crime Prevention and Community Policing Unit.

In 1992, Andrew co-founded and co-ordinated the "Ipswich Police Community Cup Touch Carnival" which ran successfully for eight years and raised more than $25,000 for local charities, including, the Ipswich PCYC, Ipswich Blue Nursing Service and the Children's Ward of the Ipswich Hospital.

In 1995, Andrew married his Wife, Karina at St. Mary's Church, Ipswich and they now have five daughters - Taylah, Alivia, Emason, Brooke and Sienna.

Andrew enjoys volunteering within and working with the Ipswich community and his hobbies include sport, reading and gardening. Andrew also enjoys and looks forward to family outings and gatherings with family and friends.

Andrew has a number of special interests and whilst he supports and assists a large number of community groups and events, he is actively involved in the following:

  • Chairperson - Crime Stoppers, Ipswich Region Area Committee
  • Deputy Chairperson - Ipswich Police Citizens Youth Club Management Committee
  • Member - Ipswich Community Youth Service (ICYS) Management Committee (2003-2006)
  • Member - Ipswich Arts Foundation
  • Member - St Mary's Conservation & Restoration Committee
  • Patron - Ipswich Eagles Australian Football Club (AFC)
  • Patron - Ipswich Croquet Club
  • Patron - Shalom Counselling Services
  • Patron - Ipswich Indoor Bowls Association Inc
  • Volunteer Fire Fighter - Ripley Valley Rural Fire Brigade
  • Joint Co-ordinator - Brassall Christmas in the Park Committee
