Ipswich City CouncilMedia ReleaseBook in now for free workshop on keeping horses 28 October 2009 Horse enthusiasts around Ipswich are being urged to register for a free workshop on Managing Horses on Small Properties to be held at Marburg Show Hall. Division 10 Councillor David Pahlke said the workshop, sponsored by SEQ Catchments, Ipswich City Council, the Federal and State Governments Government and Harness Racing Queensland would be held at Marburg Showground Hall on Saturday November 14 from 9:00am until 1:30pm. "This will be an extremely informative workshop suitable for anyone who has a horse on their property. "The keynote speaker is Jane Myers who will be speak on Managing Horse Properties. "She will be assisted by Ian McConnel whose paper is Maintaining Good Land Condition when Grazing Horses, Peter Copping who will speak on developing partnerships with Ipswich City Council and Matthew Ryan who will give details on Pest Weeds which are Toxic to Horses. "This will be an extremely informative workshop and a must for local horse people," Cr Pahlke said. The workshop will include morning tea and lunch, but bookings are essential .
