Statistics Ipswich is strategically located in South East Queensland, which has a population of 150,000 and is located 1 hour from the Port of Brisbane. Ipswich is the oldest provincial city in Queensland, and this is reflected by the grace and magnitude of more than 6,000 heritage listed sites.

A significant strength is the culturally diverse community comprised of over 115 different ethnic backgrounds. Ipswich boasts 43% of available industrial land in South East Queensland. The Office of Economic Development encourages enquiries from potential investors and also works with existing businesses to promote growth.
