Mayor Paul Pisasale's Christmas Message

Christmas is a time of celebration with family and friends.  A time to enjoy the spirit of Christmas. 
 
Over the past few years many partners have come together as Ipswich has embarked on a journey that has seen rapid residential and industrial development while we have been able to retain our unique community spirit.

Ipswich Central Economic Update

Growth and activity within Ipswich Central continues to develop from strength to strength. The latest Ipswich Economic Update has detailed just how busy the past month has been for the region and particularly Ipswich Central.

The Ipswich Regional Centre draft Strategy and action Plan was unveiled for public viewing on December 5. This document will play a vital role in the effort to maintain the city's heritage as Ipswich Central moves forward, develops and grows as a principal regional centre.

Ipswich Central also welcomed the new development by Charter Hall at Brisbane Street.

 

Retail Smart Training Update - Sign On Now

The Retail Smart training sessions have proven popular, attracting interest and participation from a variety of Ipswich Central business owners.

The content for these sessions has been developed in consultation with traders to ensure the sessions are relevant and effective. The next session will cover Visual Merchandising and will held on January 29 at Riverlink.

Ipswich Central Welcomes Another Small Business - L'China White

Ipswich Central business owners Phil and Therese Fellows are best known to city traders as the operators of Picasso's Cafe. This hard-working couple have further invested in the future of Ipswich Central and have recently opened a new business in the city centre.

L'China White is now open at the top end of the Mall. This specialty shop will provide the city centre with a new and unique destination for Ipswich Central shoppers and visitors.

Tower Central - March Construction

The developers behind Tower Central, the ambitious restoration of Ipswich Central's heritage listed Post Office and adjoining London Pharmacy building, have lodged a development application with Ipswich City Council and plan to start construction in March 2008.
 
Tower Central is a $30 million joint venture between Queensland developers De Martini & John Fletcher Properties Group and Rohrig Properties. It will offer a total of 4400mƒU of high quality retail and commercial space for the city and provide a catalyst for the rejuvenation of the CBD.
