Heritage Education Kit

As a key component of heritage awareness promotion and education, Ipswich City Council has produced a resource manual on the cultural heritage of Ipswich for primary and secondary school teachers.

The kit was written by local historian Robyn Buchanan in association with a steering committee comprised of local teachers in 1993.  The information contained on the following pages was correct at the time the Education Kit was published.

The Education kit has proven to be extremely popular. Copies of the kit were distributed to the Ipswich Library and Information Service and to all schools within the City by their local Councillor.
