Community Development Grants

What is the Community Development Grants Program?

Community Development refers to a process where the community itself is engaged in improving the social, economic and environmental situation of the community. The community spirit inherent in Ipswich is one of the most significant characteristics of the City and a major element of keeping this spirit alive is by enabling the community to embrace and celebrate our unique City. To acknowledge and recognise the important and valuable role that community organisations play in contributing to our city's community spirit, the Community Development Grants Program provides funding to non-profit incorporated community based organisations for projects which respond to local needs and issues.
