Ipswich City CouncilCommunity Development GrantsWhat is the Community Development Grants Program?Community Development refers to a process where the community itself is engaged in improving the social, economic and environmental situation of the community. The community spirit inherent in Ipswich is one of the most significant characteristics of the City and a major element of keeping this spirit alive is by enabling the community to embrace and celebrate our unique City. To acknowledge and recognise the important and valuable role that community organisations play in contributing to our city's community spirit, the Community Development Grants Program provides funding to non-profit incorporated community based organisations for projects which respond to local needs and issues. FundingFunding up to a maximum $2,000.00 is available. Distribution of FundingFunding is available on a monthly basis. Applications are received throughout the year and are considered at the monthly Arts, Community and Cultural Services Committee. Applicants should allow 8 weeks for their applications to be processed. Once approved - Applicants will be advised of outcomes. Grant AcquittalAll grant funds must be fully acquitted within 12 months. All successful grant recipients will be required to complete an Acquittal Form and provide relevant receipts to clearly identify project/sponsorship expenditure. Final Acquittal forms
