Ipswich City Council

Grants and Sponsorships

Community HandsCouncil provides funding for non-profit and community based organisations through the Economic and Community Development Department in the areas of community and cultural development that enables Council to form partnerships with community based organisations for projects that may not receive funding from other sources. Such projects are to have a community development focus that addresses community needs, encourages the development of skills within the community and leads to enhancement of community life and well-being of Ipswich residents.

Council also provides Youth Week grants to community organisations that can demonstrate the involvement of the target group in the planning, development and delivery of celebratory activities.

Additionally, Ipswich City Council supports cultural organisations and individuals through Sponsorship Grants and Master Classes that enable the community to develop and showcase their cultural skills and promote a sense of pride in cultural activities and heritage.

Local artists and cultural organisations can apply for Regional Arts Development Funding for short term one off projects which will increase active participation in community life.
