Youth GroupThe Ipswich City Council acknowledges that young people play a vital role as strong contributors to our community life in Ipswich.

In acknowleding this, Council is committed to working in partnership with community organisations to provide services and facilities; and undertake projects and activities that encourage young people's participation in the community.

Council actively supports the:

  • Ipswich Youth Advisory Council; and the
  • Ipswich Youth Interagency Network

Ipswich Youth Advisory Council

Teenage MaleIYAC was established in March 2007 and comprises of 25 young people aged between 12-17 who actively support the growth in Ipswich.

Ipswich Youth Interagency Network

The Ipswich Youth Interagency involves members from both government and non-government youth organisations. The group meet on the 1st Tuesday of each month in alternating venues to assist in the identification of emerging needs of young people within the region.
