In this issue...David Campbell Brings Swing Back to IpswichWith his new album Swing Sessions 2 already certified gold and sitting firmly within the Australian Top 10, 'swing king' David Campbell returns to Ipswich this month as part of a national concert tour. With an incredible nine-piece swing band and David Campbell's trademark vocal energy Swing Sessions 2 is a dynamic take on the classic songs of the 50s and 60s. Featuring the songs of Bobby Darrin, Frank Sinatra, Cole Porter, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jnr, this two-hour live concert spectacular will also include a few surprise moments - like selected favourites from David's very successful tenure with Jolene Anderson on Channel 7's hit music show It Takes Two.
David Campbell, in the words of radio supreme Alan Jones, "is as good, if not better, than anything you will see on Broadway or London's West End... David Campbell is a world class entertainer". After time spent working the cabaret scene in New York and London throughout the 1990s, his outstanding role as Johnny O'Keefe in the record breaking musical Shout and the 2006 breakthrough double platinum album The Swing Sessions, David Campbell has matured into one of the finest entertainers in the country and his latest national concert tour is a show not to be missed!
