The fact that a fourth show is now on sale for David Strassman is proof in itself that Ipswich residents will enthusiastically support good live entertainment options in their own backyard. I applaud you all for this endorsement of the Festival of Theatre program and for playing your part in its phenomenal success.

In this issue...Fourth Show Now on Sale for Ted E's FarewellThe 2009 Festival of Theatre kicks off next month with plenty of laughs as popular ventriloquist David Strassman bids farewell to one of his beloved characters. Strassman's 2009 Australian tour, entitled "Ted E's Farewell Tour" will mark the retirement of the much adored bear. He will retire from the pressure, the publicity, the paparazzi, the tabloids and - most of all - Chuck Wood!
With a fourth show now on sale, don't miss your chance to see this amazing performer live on stage! Please note this show has an MA rating. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Come Up to the Lab…
TIME WARP - A ROCKY HORROR MUSICAL TRIBUTE will take you to another dimension. Be mesmerised by the power house performances of the devilish cast, including former Ipswich resident Rebecca Grennan. She and her fellow cast members will lead you towards your dark side, recreating the highlights of the cult classic crowd favourite from the 70s in a new re-vamped version for your horrific enjoyment! Songs featured include : Science Fiction, Dammit Janet, Over At The Frankenstein Place, Time Warp, Toucha Toucha Touch Me, Wild & Untamed Thing, Rose Tint My World, Dream It Be It, Make You A Man… and many more. Packed with audience participation and a fantastic light show, this stage spectacular is sure to get those suspenders swinging once again! Please note this show is not suitable for people aged under 15 years.

In fact, the Smokie sound is so distinctive that it has set the band apart from the rest, allowing them to remain at the top and continue making new music. It's original, it's timeless and it has made Smokie one of the worldwide best selling bands, with a career few could better. Now it's Ipswich's turn to host this amazing, iconic band. Enjoy Mozart's music, glorious and sacred in a special way, offered in its original beauty by some of the brightest, strongest, sweetest voices in Australia today... but with a difference. Co-Opera's Magic Flute is set in a 60s restaurant! It's naughty but great fun and what's best is the way the wonderful music of Mozart, preserved with such loving care and meticulous authenticity, mixes so well with the adapted dialogue and storyline. Presented in a relaxed style of cabaret presentation, you will never think of the Flute in the same way again!

The show that has the critics raving, women cheering on their feet, and men gasping with amazement, is coming to Ipswich for two shows only. Packed with song, dance, thigh-slapping characters and knock-out comedy, Busting Out! offers practical demonstrations for your 'drooping assets' that will have you both laughing and dancing in the aisles. The 2009 tour follows a sell-out season in Brisbane which entertained over 50,000 people.

Saturday 28 March - 8.00pm Chorale Presents Celebrity Concert
Offering an afternoon of choral music and band items, this special concert will feature the magnificent full chorus of the Ipswich Orpheus Chorale conducted by Major Neville Hammond (ret). Joining the choir will be the Young Orpheus Singers and special guests, the Australian Army Band Brisbane.
