Chairperson's Message
The little ones will love Kookaplatawombaroo. The talented team behind X-Collective have been to Ipswich several times before and it's great to see them producing some top-class children's events. The slightly older kids - especially primary-school-aged girls - will no doubt be excited to hear that the Hannah-Miley tribute show is also on its way to the Civic Hall. The grown-ups can enjoy a fantastic Frank Sinatra tribute or the very popular Menopause the Musical - which is almost sold out! This is just a taste of what's on offer for the second half of the year. Keep an eye out for the new events brochure and keep checking the website for new events.

Concert Pays Homage to 'Ol' Blue Eyes'
Widely regarded as Australia's greatest exponent of Frank Sinatra, Max Miller has enjoyed sell out crowds, rave reviews and standing ovations over many years of paying homage to Ol' Blue Eyes. With the same relaxed stage presence, style, charisma and wit as the legendary crooner, Max's physical resemblance to Sinatra is also uncanny. He sings with the same feeling, passion and complete artistry as the Chairman of the Board himself. Max's two-hour tribute concert offers a musical biography of Sinatra's life, including the Big Band arrangements of Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie and Duke Ellington. Max performs all of the Sinatra classics, including For Once In My Life, My Way, New York, New York, I've Got You Under My Skin, Birth of the Blues, Fly Me to the Moon, My Kind of Town, That's Life, Strangers in the Night, Lady is a Tramp, I'll Be Seeing You and more.
Friday 17 July - 7.30pm
Menopause the Musical Returns
Inspired by 'a hot flush and a bottle of wine,' this hugely popular musical comedy is a celebration of a certain life passage that launches women into an exciting new phase of their lives. More than half a million women across Australia have seen the show - and loved it! So much so, many of the audience members have come back time and time again to join with their sisters in this 90-minute laugh-a-thon. Maybe the attraction is the songs that everyone grew up with - The Great Pretender, Only You, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Stand by Your Man, I Will Survive and twenty more - all sung with gusto and all with their 'new' lyrics. Or maybe it's the realisation that there is a wonderful life waiting after 'The Change'. Come and see for yourself.
Friday 24 July - 7.30pm
