Chairperson's Message
The little ones will love the school holiday show The Fastest Boy in the World, comedy-lovers will find laughs aplenty in The Needle and the Damage Done, while dance enthusiasts will be inspired by Dancenorth's Nightcafe. There's plenty of local talent on offer as well, with Gala '09 and Spamalot set to showcase a host of Ipswich performers from aspiring young musicians to experienced adult vocalists and choirs. It's also good to hear our very own psychic celebrity Charmaine Wilson is coming home to perform her very popular Spirit Whispers show. As always, there are busy times ahead at Civic Hall and I encourage you to take advantage of the many wonderful events coming our way.

Spirits Whisper at Psychic Show
Described as "a chance to connect with those who have passed over, in order to give messages of peace and love to the living", Spirit Whispers has been extremely popular with audiences across Australia. Charmaine was awoken to her psychic abilities in 1999 after her father died. It took a further three years to work out what the voices she kept hearing were and learn how to work with them. While she has only been a part of the industry since 2003, her achievements are many. In 2005, she was recognised by the Australian Psychics Association and awarded the Australian Psychic of the Year title. In 2008, she was named the winner of The One, a nationwide search for Australia's most gifted psychic and, in 2009, the Australian Psychics Association named her Queensland Psychic of the Year. Having just completed a sell-out tour of Australia, Charmaine is excited about "coming home" to Ipswich. Saturday 10 October 7.30pm
