Chairperson's Message
I urge you in particular to support the local production of Monty Python's Spamalot. This hilarious show features some of the city's finest performers in a smash hit musical never seen before on an Ipswich stage. I applaud the Ipswich Orpheus Chorale for bringing this show to the city. We have had some spectacular performances by our local groups this year. The Cambrians, Ipswich Musical Theatre Company, Ipswich City Orchestra and the Ipswich Seniors Concert Group all contribute to the ongoing success of the Festival of Theatre program. Along with the Orpheus Chorale and our many dance schools, they allow local talent to truly shine. I look forward to hearing about what they have planned for 2010.
Cr Charlie Pisasale | In this issue...Don't Miss Spamalot!
Don't miss the fun and frivolity on offer this month as Orpheus Productions presents the popular Monty Python musical, Spamalot. A smash hit on Broadway and the West End, Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and their quest for the Holy Grail – in a style only Monty Python could create. Featuring a chorus line of dancing divas, serfs, cows, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits and a legless knight, this madcap musical has been leaving critics and audiences in stiches. Now, for the first time, it is offered to Ipswich audiences – and tickets to the final weekend of shows are selling fast! 23 & 24 October – 7.30pm ![]() |
