Chairperson's Message

Cr Charlie Pisasale What a year it’s been so far for the Festival of Theatre. We've has some amazing shows but the year is not over yet. In the coming month we have a stellar line up of stars who will perform in Ipswich.

Charmaine Wilson is a renowned Australian psychic who finetuned her skills as a medium while living and working in Ipswich. Since appearing on the Channel 7 series The One, Charmaine has become highly sought after. She tells me she is very excited to be returning to Ipswich for this show.

The following day Dorothy the Dinosaur will fly into town in her own plane on a search for the perfect rose.

Then rounding out the Festival of Theatre program for the year are four amazing acts – deepblue, who entertained crowds at the Fire On The River event; comedy trio Tripod; Australia’s own Broadway star David Campbell; and crowd favourites Julie Anthony and Simon Gallaher.

The Ipswich Civic Centre will then become a hive of activity through the Christmas closure as renovations are carried out, including the installation of a lift. But, never fear, the centre will open with another great line up of shows early next year.

I look forward to seeing you at a show in the near future.
