Chairperson's Message

Cr Charlie Pisasale Every parent knows how hard it can be to keep the little ones amused all the time. It can be a brain-straining task to come up with new ways to entertain them, not to mention stressful. Thankfully, renowned group Hi-5 is performing two shows in Ipswich this month, giving Ipswich children the opportunity to sing and dance to songs they know from watching the group on TV.

But it’s not just about the young ones. There’s something on the Ipswich Civic Centre program to suit everyone. There’s opera, Celtic-inspired music and dance, side-splitting laughs, and good ol’ fashion rock ‘n’ roll.

A host of talented local performers will also grace the centre's stage. Our world-famous Thistle Pipe Band will showcase their amazing skills at the Ipswich International Tattoo, while a group of the city’s seniors will serve up laughs for fellow residents with the stage production of Ole.

With the Ipswich Festival from April 15 to 25, there is always something happening in the arts in and around Ipswich. Please enjoy.

Tribulations, celebrations and the troubled triangle of Musetta, Marcello and Alcindoro provide a counterpoint to the genuine and profound love between Rodolfo and Mimi - but love's greatest enemy, misunderstanding, threatens to sabotage their union.
