Chairperson's Message
Looking at the shows on offer in the coming weeks highlights the diversity of genres. There is Shakespeare as you’ve never seen it before, and tributes to some of the 20th century’s greatest singers – the Big Bopper, Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly in the show Elvis Meets Buddy, and Dean Martin, Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra in The Dean Martin and Bobby Darin Story. Then in the beginning of June, children will be entertained with a dynamic modern opera based on the book Fox by Margaret Wild and Ron Brooks. Local group Dancing Tiger Belly Dance will host an Oriental dance Olympics with performers from Greece, Lebanon, Israel and Australia. There is something for everyone at the Ipswich Civic Centre regardless of your tastes. So pick your favourite from this email and get in quick to make sure you don’t miss out. I hope to see you at a show soon and please enjoy the wonderful program on offer.
