Message from the Chairperson
It’s great to see Ipswich mentioned in so many different mediums – on billboards, in newspapers, on the internet and in specific brochures. A lot of work has recently gone in to raising awareness of our city as a tourist destination. We have plenty of fantastic experiences for visitors to enjoy like the Art Gallery, The Workshops Railway Museum, our adrenalin-charged activities, wineries and rural retreats. Plus, it’s close to everything in South East Queensland and is the gateway to more rural areas. We all know what makes Ipswich a great place to live and raise a family. We just need to get the word out to everyone else. With the My Favourite Place and Discover Ipswich campaigns we are doing just that – spreading the word. And with the Tourism Forecasting Committee predicting a growth in visitor numbers to Queensland, it’s important we continue our hard work and tap into these vital markets. Remember ... Tourism is everybody's business Cr David Pahlke |

The aim is to spread the word that Ipswich is a tourist destination and it’s a great opportunity for operators to reach new customers. The brochure is printed four times a year, with 25,000 printed for the autumn season. It includes advertisement and special offers that are valid for three months. The Discover Ipswich campaign is a great opportunity to keep tourism products in the minds of people planning to visit the city or as an enticement to discover Ipswich. [ Back to Top ] |
