Ipswich City CouncilWarrill Park Lawn CemeteryWarrill Park Lawn Cemetery is primarily a lawn cemetery but also includes columbarium walls and gardens for memorial of cremated remains. This is the main Ipswich City Council cemetery. HistoryWarrill Park Lawn Cemetery was opened in 1971 and was operated by the Ipswich Cemetery Trust for a number of years before Ipswich City Council became the trustee in 1979. With Warrill Park now having over 9,000 graves, it is the biggest and most utilised cemetery in Ipswich. It is also a very clean and well presented lawn cemetery with staff in attendance five days a week, keeping it maintained to a high standard. There are gazebo's and park benches to provide friends and relatives with a place to reflect and relax while visiting their loved ones at the cemetery. Location
