Ih4l Active PetownersDogs need regular exercise to help be healthy, stop them becoming bored and barking or digging.  Most dogs need to be taken for a walk (or similar) at least once a day.

Active Pets = Active Owners

Active Pets = Active Owners is an Ipswich City Council initiative aimed at encouraging dog owners to get out and get active with their companions.

Fun acvtivities such as obstacles courses, best trick competitions and a chance to stretch your legs with your best friend are being provided in a park near you!

The Active Pets = Active Owners program is currently being reviewed and future event dates will be published once the review has been completed.

Million Paws Walk

Ipswich City Council is proud to host the Million Paws Walk event in Ipswich each year.  The event is not only a great day out for animal lovers and pets but also an important fundraising activity for the RSPCA. 

Located at Limestone Park, the Ipswich Million Paws Walk continues to be a favourite outdoor event for Ipswich animal lovers and their furry friends. Get involved on Sunday, 15 May 2011,  by enjoying a 2km or 3km walk, mingle with other pet owners, enter fantastic competitions and enjoy the festival atmosphere of the day.

Funds raised through walk registrations and online fundraising goes towards vital programs, services and campaigns undertaken by RSPCA Qld, as well as looking after the animals in our care.

Council's designated off-leash parks are a perfect opportunity for your dog to exercise as well as socialise with other dogs.  Please remember that when in the off-leash areas your pet needs to be under your control, either physically (on a lead) or by voice control.
