21 April 2017

Ipswich Libraries continues to host free community events with sessions on family history and healthy eating to be held in coming weeks.

Family History Faux Pas will be held at Ipswich Central Library from 10am to 11.30am on Thursday, 27 April, helping people find family records.

Researcher Shauna Hicks will show participants how to avoid making time-wasting family history mistakes with a number of tried and true methods.

Nutrition will be the focus of Good Gut Health from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, 3 May at the Ipswich Central Library Barry Jones Auditorium and Thursday, 11 May at Redbank Plains Library.

Ipswich Libraries spokesman Councillor David Pahlke said the sessions were part of a continued commitment to the community.

“Our libraries are constantly changing and adapting to the needs of residents,” he said.

“It’s much more than books – modern libraries are all about technology, innovation and community programs.”
