Clean Up Australia Day

Change starts with you. The key to keeping our beautiful country clean is stopping litter becoming rubbish. There are so many actions each of us can take to help reduce the eight million tonnes of plastic entering our oceans worldwide each year. So, bookmark today as the start of you doing your bit and join us for Clean Up Australia Day (CUAD) 2019.

Over the past 29 years, CUAD volunteers have donated more than 33 million hours at over 178,000 locations across the country. Together they have removed the equivalent of 350 thousand ute loads of rubbish from across Australia. Since then it has become the nation’s largest community-based environment event and one that Ipswich City Council is proud to support again this year.

CUAD 2019 Photo Comp

This year, Ipswich City Council is holding a photo competition on Instagram, so get your cleaning gloves on and your camera ready to roll!

All you need to do is:

  • Ensure you register your Clean Up Australia Day event on one of the three CUAD days
  • Snap a pic of you cleaning up your bit of Australia at your CUAD event
  • Upload your photo to Instagram using the hashtag #cuadipswich

A total of six winners (two winners per day on each of the three CUAD days) will be randomly selected after the three CUAD days are up. Winners will be notified via Instagram. Each winner will be awarded a $200 Bunnings voucher and be rewarded by the satisfaction of knowing they have pitched in and done their bit of hard yakka to keep Australia clean and green.

Please ensure that you have read and agreed to the CUAD 2019 Photo Competition Terms and Conditions before submitting your entry.
