New brochure reflects
village charm
A new brochure offering discount
coupons and a directory of local
Rosewood retailers has been a huge
success.
The Rosewood Village Charm brochure
has helped create interest and recognition
of the unique Rosewood region.
Produced by Council in conjunction
with the area’s retailers, this brochure
was designed to generate increased
business for Rosewood retailers and
service providers by attracting new
customers to the area, as well as
encouraging residents to shop locally
and the initiative has taken off.
With the area home to many exciting
attractions from the Cobb and Co
Coach to Street Brigid’s Catholic
Church, the new brochure also
showcased Rosewood’s historical
village charm through the promotion
of regional tourism aspects to
attract day and overnight visitors to
the region.
Rosewood is a progressive region
that infuses country hospitality and
heritage beauty with hidden retail
treasures, with the town also known as
an “op shop heaven”.
The town is also home to two well-
known dress and accessory shops
which often attract shoppers from
Ipswich and Brisbane and are a
favourite location of many fashion
conscious women.
Since trialling the Rosewood Village
Charm brochure, local residents
enjoyed the many special offers
available by the Rosewood retailers
who have taken part.
Swimming
champion
drops in to
Rosewood
Australian swimming champion and
former Logan Vikings Swim Club
member Keryn McMaster recently
dropped in to the Rosewood Swim
Centre to encourage and support
some of the region’s local country
swimmers.
McMaster is not only the 2013 400
metre Individual Medley Champion
but also the 2013 US Champion.
She is placed as the fifth fastest 400
metre Individual Medley swimmer
in Australia and this year she will
represent the country in the 2014
BHP Billiton Aquatic Super Series,
competing against swimmers from
Brazil, China, Japan and South Africa.
Her visit to the Rosewood Rays Swim
Club was enjoyed by members who
found her an inspiration.
