fun-filled festive season.
This is the time of year
to celebrate, and we’ve
got a host of special events including the
annual Mayor’s Carols by Candlelight on
5 December. Other carols will be held in
Brassall on 27 November and Springfield
Central on 12 December.
The great people from the Lockyer Branch
of the Ulysses Club will once again hit
the road for their annual Toy Run on
13 December. The guys and girls will ride
from Brassall Shopping Centre, finishing
their journey and delivering toys at the
Ipswich Showgrounds. Be sure to give
them a wave and a round of applause
when you see them riding by.
New Year’s Eve celebrations including live
music, community parties, and fireworks
will be held on 31 December. Keep an eye
on the Council website for full details as
the big night nears.
Movies in the Park return to Ipswich from
15 January. Go to page 12 for a full list of
dates and movies and make sure you grab

a picnic and enjoy a night of free family
fun under the stars.
The first of three events in the
Ipswich Trail Run Series comes to the
Flinders-Goolman Conservation Estate on
7 February. Hundreds of competitors of all
ages are expected to turn out for this new
series of fun fitness challenges.
