Minor Works Approved Contractor List
Ipswich City Council will soon invite Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and licensed suppliers to join the Minor Works Approved Contractor List (ACL) for the 2026–2031 period.
This list enables Council to engage pre‑approved contractors for a wide range of minor works and services across the city. Joining the Approved Contractor List gives eligible local suppliers the opportunity to be considered for upcoming works, support Council projects, and help deliver high‑quality services for the Ipswich community.
Categories Open for Registration
Council is seeking EOIs from suppliers with the appropriate licences, qualifications and experience in the following categories:
Building Works
Scope includes park shelters, gazebos, pergolas, sheds, toilet blocks, cabinetry, concrete slabs, and associated building elements.
Mandatory: QBCC low‑rise builder; qualified technical person must be the licence holder.
Concrete Works
Traffic control, demolition, concrete placement, formwork, reinforcement, kerb and channel, drainage structures, retaining walls and structural concrete works.
Mandatory: QBCC concrete contractor; RPEQ required for structural elements.
Electrical Works
Includes lighting systems, switchboards, generators, solar, cabling, commissioning, upgrades and new installations.
Mandatory: Qld Electrical Contractor Licence; ACMA Open Cabler (where applicable); approved design qualifications.
Pipe Relining Works
Leak detection, CCTV inspections, flow management, hydraulic checks, chemical lining, as‑built documentation, testing and certifications.
Mandatory: RPEQ engineer with an Engineers Australia‑recognised tertiary degree.
Plumbing Works
Installation and repair of water, sanitary, drainage, fixtures, filtration systems, hot water systems, testing and maintenance.
Mandatory: Relevant QBCC licence; licence holder must be the qualified technical person; demonstrated experience required.
Pipe Works / QUU Accredited Works
As listed in the EOI scope and in line with Urban Utilities standards and experience requirements.
Civil Earthworks & Drainage Infrastructure
Earthworks, minor civil structures, drainage channels, embankments, and associated works.
Civil Environmental Projects & Natural Areas
Bank stabilisation, natural area works and related environmental projects.
Landscaping Works
Planting, turfing, soil improvements, mulching, edging, path installation and street tree works.
Mandatory: Demonstrated relevant experience; structural landscaping requires QBCC Structural Landscaping (Trade) Contractor licence.
Fencing Works
Supply and installation of timber, decorative, chain wire, rural, Colourbond and other fencing types.
Mandatory: Demonstrated experience relevant to fencing and installation methods.

- Resourcing, response times and coverage
- Proposed methodology and risk management
- Local content and social procurement benefits
- Value for money
How to Register
The EOI will be released via VendorPanel, Council’s online procurement portal.
To participate, suppliers must first register on VendorPanel Marketplace.
