Household Waste Services and Requests
Report a missed bin collection
Your bin collection may have been missed if your bin:
- exceeded the weight limit and was too heavy for the collection truck to lift and empty
- was obstructed at the time of collection
- was taken out after the collection truck had already serviced your address.

Ask us to repair or replace a bin
You can arrange for council to repair or replace your damaged bin for free. We don't recommend making any repairs to your own wheelie bin.
You can ask us to fix or replace your bin if:
- it's missing a wheel or lid
- the lid or body is cracked
- the lid has come loose (either partially or completely).
Important Information
- Bin repair officers are not allowed to carry out repairs on private property or private access roads. Leave your bin on the kerbside until it is repaired or replaced
- Your bin must be less than half full at the time we repair or replace it
- We repair or replace bins as soon as possible following your request.

Assisted Household Waste Removal (Infirm Service)
The Assisted Household Waste Removal (Infirm) Service can be applied for by residents who are unable to physically move their bins to and from the kerbside, due to a disability or impairment, and have no access to assistance.
If approved by council, the waste collection driver will wheel the bins out for servicing and return them back to the agreed location on the residents' property. The assisted service is provided at no additional cost to the normal service charge, on the condition that the applicant provides council with a completed Assisted Household Waste Removal (Infirm) Service application.
