Ipswich City Council supports the use of its community facilities by not-for-profit organisations, community groups, and sport and recreation clubs to deliver programs, services, and activities that strengthen community connections and provide positive outcomes for local residents.

Community facilities provide welcoming and accessible spaces that support the delivery of programs, services and activities that benefit the local community. Available to not-for-profit organisations, community groups and service providers, these facilities help foster social connection, wellbeing, learning and community participation.

Registration of Interest 

Not-for-profit organisations can register their interest to activate a council-owned facility. Your organisation is eligible if it:

• is an incorporated association or equivalent
• is a not-for-profit community-based organisation
• maintains $20 million public liability insurance
• Can demonstrate how you will meet the financial obligations of the tenure arrangement
• Conduct activities that meet council community objectives, and are not primarily for purposes such as political gain, places of worship, or commercial gain. 
• Is Ipswich based
