Community Facilities
Ipswich City Council permits use of community facilities to not‑for‑profit organisations, sport and recreation groups and community organisations to support the delivery of programs, services and activities that benefit the local community.
Prospective tenants
Not-for-profit organisations can permit a council-owned facility. Your organisation is eligible if it:
- is an incorporated association or equivalent
- is a not-for-profit community-based organisation
- maintains $20 million public liability insurance
- Can demonstrate how you will meet the financial obligations of the tenure arrangement
- Conduct activities that meet council community objectives, and are not primarily for purposes such as political gain, places of worship, commercial gain or illegal activities.
- Is Ipswich based
