Sporting Field Closures

We aim to keep Ipswich sport and recreation facilities open wherever possible. However, fields may need to close at times due to wet weather, maintenance or repairs, or unforeseen issues such as vandalism or environmental hazards (e.g. fire ant infestations). These decisions are made to protect player safety, prevent long-term damage to fields and ensure facilities remain available for the whole community.

Closure information is updated on business days only.
Latest updates are published by 2:45 pm when changes occur.
Sporting clubs are notified from 2:00 pm via Council communication channels.
Updates are not provided after hours, on weekends or public holidays.
