Parkrun is a concept that has takenoff
all over theworld to improvefitness
and create a free, fun social event that
tracks your running improvement each
week.
The freeweeklyfive kilometre timed
runs areopen toeveryone and are safe
andeasy toparticipate in.
IpswichParkrun recently celebrated its
first birthdayon the romanticdateof
Valentine’sDay, February 14.
IpswichParkrunmeets 7amevery
Saturday at Bill PatersonOval and
averages 100 runners perweek, which
is a fantastic initiative for residents
wanting to achieve amore active,
healthy lifestyle.
There arenowover 100Parkrun
locations around the country.
Residentswishing to takepart can visit
to
register.
For residents there is another Parkrun
at AugustineHeights that starts at
RenahanPlace.
