As part of 2017 Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, the Domestic Violence Action Centre (DVAC) is inviting the community to come together in a march of solidarity to create awareness of and bring an end to the tragedy of domestic violence:

We welcome participation by all groups, genders, individuals and families. Join us and your fellow community-members with your signs and voices.
The march is approximately 800 metres and will be followed by a candlelight vigil at d'Arcy Doyle Place to commemorate the women and children who have lost their lives to domestic violence.

Ipswich artist Donna Davis showcases installations that creatively explore the symbiotic relationships between plants and fungi in the local area and the powerful interconnectedness of living systems. more
Donna Davis is an Ipswich artist who has brought together a number of her works to create Ipswich’s own Hidden Worlds exhibition. The exhibition is drawn from a range of interconnected art/science projects that Donna has worked on over the past four years.
The exhibition reflects on the power, complexity and interconnectedness of living systems, featuring references to endangered flora from Ipswich and surrounds and symbiotic relationships between plants and fungi in the local area.

This project is supported by funding via the Queensland Government's Visual Arts and Craft Strategy (an initiative of Australian state and territory governments) and the Queensland Herbarium (the centre for research and information on Queensland ecosystems, plants and fungi). Concept research and development of the project was proudly supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) (a joint initiative beetween Arts Queensland and the Ipswich City Council), as well as the Queensland Mycological Society.
