Our Priorities
Council has adopted a new Corporate Plan for 2026–2031(PDF, 3MB), that will commence on 1 July 2026. The 2026-2031 Corporate Plan will replace iFuture, and will be council’s leading strategic plan.
The new Corporate Plan covers the next five years of achieving the Community’s Vision for 2041:
The themes within the Community Vision identify areas for action and provide information for the planning and service delivery of Council’s corporate and annual plans. Each theme includes a goal and the Corporate Plan identifies the priority outcomes council will focus on as summarised below:

Each year Ipswich City Council adopts an Annual Plan identifying activities that work toward achieving the goals, objectives and strategies outlined in the Corporate Plan, as well as providing the framework for Council to prepare its annual budget.
There are a number of key corporate publications available on our website that promote and report on Council’s performance in delivering strategies, major projects and operational business and services.
