Ipswich City Council’s commitment to quality sports and recreation facilities continues with the delivery of Ipswich Cycle Park.

Track Features

The Asphalt Criterium Track consists of three loops of varying lengths:

1,310m track loop
1,080m track loop
400m track loop

The track includes:

Cyclists' lane: 7m wide
Runners' lane: 2m wide
Safety lane: 1m wide

Additional Facilities

Main race staging area that doubles as a Learn-to-Ride space for families when not hosting events
Secondary staging area for the 400m track
Minor pathway connections for improved accessibility
Officials' shelter for event use
Lighting and security cameras to enhance safety and utilisation

Council’s Vision

Ipswich City Council aims to provide a premier Australian cycling facility for both the Ipswich community and racing enthusiasts.

The Ipswich Cycle Park provides a safe, inclusive, and diverse cycling experience for all members of the community, while also servicing as a destination for cycling clubs to host regular sporting events at local, state and national levels.

Booking

Cycle clubs wishing to host an event at Ipswich Cycle Park must apply for a permit using the Application for Use of Council Parks and Facilities form below.

For long-term or seasonal use of the facility, please refer to the Seasonal Use of Sporting Venues application form.

If access for the 1,310m Criterium Track is required, please ensure you apply for both the 1,080m and 400m Criterium track loops.

Conditions for each area can be viewed below. Please review these before applying for a permit or licence.

The permit holder must produce the permit issued by the local government upon request by an authorised person.
