Thirsty work with new dog bowl for Queens Park
Published on 27 March 2026
It’s good news for Queens Park visitors and their furry companions with a new dog bowl set to be installed outside the Ipswich Nature Centre.
Division 3 Councillor Marnie Doyle said the dog bowl would be delivered through Ipswich City Council’s Provisional Projects program after being endorsed at council’s Ordinary Meeting on Thursday 26 March.
“Every pet owner wants the best for their pet, and local residents have told us that they would love a dog bowl at this location, so their dog could have a drink while strolling around Queens Park,” Cr Doyle said.
“Provisional Projects allow councillors to engage with their community and put forward projects that were not already in the Capital Works Program but would be beneficial, and that’s exactly what happened with this project.”
Division 3 Councillor Andrew Antoniolli said the project would involve plumbing and drainage work to install the permanent dog bowl close to the Nature Centre.
"Queens Park is very popular with residents and visitors and now their furry companions will be that much better off thanks to this project,” Cr Antoniolli said.
