A vital aspect of council’s Urban Greening Plan is visually appealing residential streets lined with trees and plants along property boundaries.
Council allows residential property owners to establish landscaping on nature strips adjacent to their property boundary in accordance with standard conditions. Council has developed these conditions to protect the safety of footpath and road users by allowing clear vision for vehicles accessing driveways and minimising tripping hazards.

Ipswich City Council respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners, the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul people of the Yugara/Yagara Language Group, as custodians of the land and waters we share. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, as the keepers of the traditions, customs, cultures and stories of proud peoples.
