Adult CPR Awareness Sessions

Do you know what to do in an emergency?

Ipswich City Council offers free CPR awareness sessions for adults to help teach life-saving skills. A young child is four times more likely to survive a near drowning if parents/guardians or bystanders know CPR and it is performed immediately.

See the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Information Sheet(PDF, 73KB) for a few steps that need to be followed.

The next planned Adult CPR Awareness Session will be in April/May 2026. Be the first to hear when bookings open by joining our mailing list.

Adult CPR Awareness Sessions have been designed for adults aged 18+ years.

  • These sessions are offered under Ipswich City Council’s SEAL Pool Safety Program
  • Each session runs for one hour and is delivered by Queensland Ambulance Service
  • Bookings are essential as places are limited
  • Please note that these sessions do not provide a CPR qualification upon completion.

Please note: Child minding services are not available during this program. Participants are responsible for the care and supervision of their children at all times.
