The City of Ipswich community profile includes local demographic information from the Census of Population and Housing for 2016, 2011, 2006 and 2001. It is designed to inform community groups, council, investors, business, students and the general public.
The profile allows users to view Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) census data and generate reports on City of Ipswich and smaller areas within the region. These reports (with maps, tables and charts) contain census demographic information including age and gender profiles, multicultural diversity, housing and tenure types, incomes and workforce, education, employment and family composition for the selected area. The community profile also allows users to compare results for their selected area to Council area, Regional Queensland, South East Queensland, Queensland and Australia.
The community atlas includes key socio-demographic characteristics for the City of Ipswich presented as interactive maps. It is based on data from 2011, 2006 and 2001 Census of Population and Housing (Australian Bureau of Statistics) and each map is prepared to help identify spatial patterns and trends in the area.
