Free green waste disposal for storm hit suburbs

Ipswich City Council has approved free disposal of green waste at the Riverview Refuse and Recycling Centre from residential properties affected by the severe storm on Sunday 25 October.
The free green waste disposal is available to Ipswich residents through proof-of-address from the following suburbs: Karalee, Muirlea, Pine Mountain, Chuwar, North Ipswich, Brassall, Tivoli (North Tivoli).
The free disposal of green waste is offered from today to 2 November (inclusive).
Major vegetation damage was experiences in these areas including damage to private property, council parks, and blockages of local and major roads.
Council crews have been clearing parks and roadways in the affected areas today and the clean-up operation will continue in coming days.
