Local DJs, choirs, soloists and bands are getting the opportunity to take centre stage this festive season, as applications open to perform at Christmas in Ipswich.
Musicians from all genres can complete the expression of interest form or apply via Ipswichfestivals.com.au by 11.59pm Sunday 17 October 2021 for the chance to work their magic at one of the city’s family-friendly events.
Community, Culture, Arts and Sport Committee chair Councillor Andrew Fechner said Christmas in Ipswich is one of the city’s biggest and most anticipated annual events.
“Christmas in Ipswich is an exciting time for our community and our city’s talented local musical performers can help us celebrate the season in style,” Cr Fechner said.
“If you’re a local singer, classical instrumentalist, in a choir or a band, we’d love to hear you hit the festive notes this year.”
Submissions will be reviewed by council’s Event Management team and assessed according to various criteria, including the performers’ suitability across the various Christmas events.
Successful applicants will be contacted via email by Friday 29 October 2021. Standard performance rates apply for the successful applicants.
