Nicholas Street Precinct continues to grow

Beauty treatments will soon be on the menu, with new entries to the Nicholas Street Precinct lining up beside food businesses.
The Nicholas Street Precinct welcomes two new service industry tenancies, including a beautician and nail bar, in a sign of big things to come.
Ipswich Central Redevelopment Committee Chairperson Councillor Marnie Doyle said fit out works will commence soon with doors expected to open before the end of the year.
“This is something new for the redevelopment - Austhetica and Sofia Nails,” Cr Doyle said.
“We have seen our first food entries open their doors, now we will see service industry tenants move in to add more fantastic offerings for Ipswich residents.”
Cr Doyle said the community was delighted to see these businesses open for trading in the redeveloped Nicholas Street Precinct.
“Gelatissimo has proved immensely popular since its opening and, with a variety of interesting eateries about to launch, the Nicholas Street Precinct is offering more taste choices for the Ipswich community,” Cr Doyle said.
“Zambrero and That Dumpling Place have brought a buzz to the area and will soon be joined by Sushi Hyo.”
Austhetica offers unique, affordable professional space to beauty industry service providers with flexible leases and equipped with everything they need to start.
The Nicholas Street Precinct salon will be located within Metro B and feature eight treatment rooms and it will be the first Austhetica salon in the Ipswich region, with the closest store in Jindalee.
Cr Doyle said the fit out will commence in early October, with opening anticipated by mid-November.
Austhetica Business Manager Tendai Mbakada said they were looking forward to introducing the service to Ipswich.
“Our first salon in the region will offer beauty and hair services, cosmetic injectables and cosmetic tattooing,” Mr Mbakada said.
“With its connectivity and growing CBD visitation, the Nicholas Street Precinct provides the ideal location to deliver our affordable, fully equipped private suites to the beauty industry and a wellness sanctuary to Ipswich customers alike.”
Located within Metro B, Sofia Nails will feature a total of 12 manicure tables and pedicure chairs offering manicures, spa pedicures, acrylics, shellac polish and gel nails and a small treatment room.
The fit out will also commence in early October, with opening anticipated by mid-November.
Cr Doyle said the new businesses coming to Ipswich Central, including new cinema complex operator HOYTS, was a show of faith and commitment to Ipswich.
“The Nicholas Street Precinct is going from strength to strength,” Cr Doyle said.
“We are seeing a reawakening of pride in our CBD which is lovely to see.
“There is a lot to celebrate and to be proud of, and much more to come.”
