CoComelon leads free Easter family fun in Ipswich Central

24 March 2023

The Nicholas Street Precinct will be the place for families to play during the Easter school holidays with plenty of free activities and entertainment including JJ from CoComelon live on stage in Tulmur Place.

Ipswich Central Redevelopment Committee Chairperson and Division 3 Councillor Marnie Doyle said families can plan a full, fun day out in the Nicholas Street Precinct over the Easter break.

“From Saturday 1 April to Thursday 6 April, Ipswich families can dance, learn and sing along with JJ from CoComelon live on the Tulmur Place outdoor stage,” Cr Doyle said.

“There will also be CoComelon Bowling, a mini–Putt Putt course, an Art and Craft Village and an 11-metre adventure climbing wall for older kids, providing entertainment for the whole family in the revitalised heart of our city.

“There are plenty of lunch options for families in the Nicholas Street Precinct including That Dumpling Place, Zambrero and Dominiques Bakery, and you can enjoy a sweet treat or two from Gelatissimo or coffee from Stellarossa.”

Division 3 Councillor Andrew Fechner said the first week of the school holiday program will feature CoComelon-themed activities and the second week a range of giant outdoor games and activities.

“Parents can even treat themselves to some pampering by booking an appointment at Sofia Nails and Spa in the Nicholas Street Precinct,” Cr Fechner said.

“Families are encouraged to visit the Ipswich Children’s Library, designed specifically for children to explore, learn and play with a catalogue of over 35,000 books just for kids and unique multi-reality interactive experiences.

“The zero-depth water play area makes for a splashing good time, so pack your swimmers and come down for a picnic in Tulmur Place’s beautiful lawn and gardens.”

Parking in the dedicated Nicholas Street Precinct carpark is accessible via Bremer Street and is free for up to three hours.
