Ipswich City Council has secured $851,500 in Australian Government funding for three projects under the Black Spot Program.
Governance and Transparency Committee Chairperson Councillor Jacob Madsen said by providing funding for road locations where crashes are occurring, the program reduces the risk of crashes, making safer roads for Ipswich.
“This funding will allow council to improve safety at three locations in Ipswich,” Cr Madsen said.
“Council continues to deliver on its objective of improving Ipswich through securing much-needed funding for the benefit of the community. Safer roads mean a safer community.”
