NOTICE OF MAKING INTERIM LOCAL LAW NO. 1 (PARKING) 2024
Title
- This notice may be cited as the Ipswich City Council, Interim Local Law No. 1 (Parking) 2024 Notice which has been issued pursuant to section 29B of the Local Government Act 2009.
Commencement
- Interim Local Law No. 1 (Parking) 2024 (the Interim Local Law) commences on (2 February 2024).
Making of local law
- Ipswich City Council has, by resolution dated the 25th day of January 2024, made the Interim Local Law.
- Upon making the Interim Local Law, Subordinate Local Law No. 5.1 (Parking) 2013 was amended.
Expiry of the Interim Local Law
- The Interim Local Law will expire on 25 July 2024.
Purpose and General Effect of the Interim Local Law
- The purpose of the Interim Local Law is to facilitate equitable use by the community, of the off-street parking area at the Springfield Central Community Centre, 134 Parkland Drive, Springfield Central. The effect of the Interim Local Law modifies the parking areas regulated through the existing Subordinate Local Law No. 5.1 (Parking) 2013 to enable regulation of the aforementioned off-street parking area.

- A copy of the Interim Local Law may be –
- inspected at Council’s public office;
- purchased at Council’s public office; and
- viewed by the public on Council's website and the website of the Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works.
