The Royal Life Saving Queensland’s Water STAARS [Support to Access Aquatic Recreational Spaces] Program is designed to support people aged 6 years and older with a disability to access and recreate safely in and around various water bodies.
Ipswich City Council in conjunction with Royal Life Saving Queensland’s Water STAARS offer Ipswich Residents with a disability, the opportunity to participate in a four week program enabling individuals to access water aquatic spaces in a safe, supportive and educational manner. Each lesson goes for 1 hour, and attendance is at the same time and day for four consecutive weeks.
Lessons are conducted by qualified Royal Life Saving Queensland’s Disability Instructors in a safe and supportive environment.
