Ipswich City Council has endorsed its new Economic Development Strategy for the City. The Strategy outlines our plan for sustainable economic growth. It thoughtfully considers how we can build the economy of the future, attract and retain our diverse and high value jobs for current and future generations, deliver a safe, efficient and sustainable transport network and ensure a healthy environment and foster an inclusive society.
The Strategy represents an opportunity for Council to establish a new, refreshed direction for the economic development program. It is defined by its program objectives and key pillars, People, Place, Prosperity and Partnerships.
The Strategy contributes to the delivery of iFuture, council’s Corporate Plan under Theme 1: Vibrant and Growing in progressing council’s vision and outcomes.
