In total, more than 300 community assets were damaged by flooding. These include 169 sections of gravel road, approximately 365km of sealed roads and twenty-five (25) sites which incorporate local sporting and community facilities and parks.

In addition to the level of damage across the city, we face the challenge of the ongoing economical and societal impacts as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic.  This paired with the growing competition of limited materials and resources in neighbouring Local Government areas will continue to influence the city’s recovery speed.
